Sonalika Reports 53,772 Tractor Sales in April–July 2025

Sonalika, a leading tractor manufacturer in India, has reported total tractor sales of 53,772 units during the April to July 2025 period. The sales figures mark a strong start to the fiscal year 2025–26 (FY26), with the company surpassing the 50,000-unit milestone within the first four months.

The performance underscores continued demand for farm mechanization in India, supported by favorable monsoon forecasts and positive agricultural outlooks. Sonalika attributed the growth to its product innovation, manufacturing capabilities, and extensive distribution network.

The company operates what it describes as the world’s largest integrated tractor manufacturing facility, located in Punjab. The plant utilizes robotic automation and in-house production of key components, including engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems. According to the company, the facility can produce a heavy-duty tractor every two minutes, allowing for high-volume output to meet market demand.

With the upcoming festive season in India, traditionally a peak period for tractor sales, Sonalika states that its dealer network is well-prepared with inventory and service readiness. The company claims to have the largest channel partner network in the country, aimed at ensuring timely deliveries and after-sales support.

Raman Mittal, Joint Managing Director of International Tractors Limited (ITL), the parent company of Sonalika, commented on the results: “We have achieved over 53,000 tractor sales in the first four months of the fiscal year. This reflects consistent customer confidence in our products. With encouraging monsoon conditions and strong rabi crop outputs, farmers are increasingly investing in modern farming equipment. Our manufacturing and distribution systems are geared to meet seasonal demand efficiently.”

Sonalika continues to focus on heavy-duty tractors tailored to Indian farming conditions, emphasizing fuel efficiency, durability, and performance. The company also remains one of India’s top tractor exporters, with presence in over 150 countries.

Industry analysts note that the April–July 2025 sales performance positions Sonalika competitively within the domestic tractor market, amid broader trends of mechanization and government support for agricultural infrastructure.
