Sona Comstar wins the Golden Peacock Award 2023 for Excellence in Corporate Governance
The company received the award during the ‘2023 London Global Convention on Corporate Governance & Sustainability' organised by IOD.
Sona BLW Precision Forgings (Sona Comstar) has been awarded the Golden Peacock Award for Excellence in Corporate Governance 2023 (GPAECG). Vivek Vikram Singh, MD & Group CEO, received the award on the company's behalf in a ceremony organised in London.
Singh on winning the award said "This is a moment of great pride for all of us at Sona Comstar. Receiving this coveted award is a recognition of our unwavering commitment to the highest standards of governance and a validation of our dedication to ethical and transparent business practices. We believe that good corporate governance is the cornerstone of our long-term success, ensuring the trust of our stakeholders. I thank our employees, directors, customers, shareholders and other stakeholders for their continued support, guidance and trust in us."
Golden Peacock Awards, instituted by the Institute of Directors (IOD), India, in 1991, are now regarded as a benchmark of Corporate Excellence worldwide. The award has a transparent evaluation process, follows a 3-tier structure and adheres to internationally recognised criteria.
This year's jury for the award was headed by Justice M. N. Venkatachaliah, former Chief Justice of India, as the chairman, along with other members from diverse backgrounds and expertise.
Sona Comstar received the award during the ‘2023 London Global Convention on Corporate Governance & Sustainability' organised by IOD. The convention's theme was "Board's Tryst with ESG and Making Corporate Governance Work in the New World Economy".
