Sona Comstar partners with TiHAN-IIT Hyderabad to advance autonomous and electric mobility technologies

Sona BLW Precision Forgings Ltd. (Sona Comstar), a global provider of mobility technology solutions, has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the NMICPS Technology Innovation Hub on Autonomous Navigation Foundation at IIT Hyderabad (TiHAN-IITH). The MOU was signed during CES 2025 in Las Vegas, USA. This agreement aims to foster collaboration between Sona Comstar and TiHAN-IITH in the development of connected, autonomous, and electric technologies for autonomous ground vehicles (AGVs), drones, and electric vertical take-off and landing vehicles (eVTOLs).
The Indian mobility sector is preparing for the integration of autonomous technologies in areas such as personal transportation, drones, eVTOLs, and AGVs. Achieving long-term success in this space requires robust expertise in software and a partner with industrialization experience.
