Sona Comstar hits production milestone of 400 million differential gears, 6 million differential assemblies

The company achieved milestones of 100 million, 200 million, and 300 million gears in 2013, 2018, and 2021 respectively.

Sona BLW Precision Forgings Ltd. (Sona Comstar), a leading global provider of automotive technology solutions, has announced the attainment of two production milestones. The company has successfully manufactured 400 million differential gears and 6 million differential assemblies.

The company specialises in designing and manufacturing differential assemblies, precision-forged differential gears, and other driveline parts catering to various vehicle segments including battery electric vehicles (BEV), passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, and off-highway vehicles.

Sona Comstar achieved milestones of 100 million, 200 million, and 300 million gears in 2013, 2018, and 2021 respectively, culminating in the recent achievement of 400 million gears within two and a half years. The production of one millionth differential assembly was reached in 2017, followed by the milestone of 5 million assemblies in 2023. The company achieved the production of the next one million assemblies in less than nine months.
