Skoda reduces prices of Slavia, Kushaq by up to Rs 1 lakh

Skoda has slashed the prices across all variants of its Slavia midsize sedan and Kushaq midsize SUV by about Rs 1 lakh, for a limited period. The Kushaq is now priced between Rs 10.89 lakh and Rs 18.79 lakh, while the Slavia’s price now ranges from Rs 10.69 lakh to Rs 18.69 lakh. The Czech brand has also adopted a new nomenclature for its variants – Classic, Signature and Prestige – by reducing the number of variants on offer and rationalising the range.

Skoda Kushaq: 2024 price list

The now-discontinued entry-level Kushaq Active was priced at Rs 11.99 lakh, and the entry point is now Rs 1.1 lakh lower. The range-topping variant is now called the Prestige, and it's priced between Rs 16.09 lakh and Rs 18.79 lakh, which is a significant drop compared to the previous top-spec trim (Rs 17.29 lakh-20.49 lakh). Speaking of the previous top-spec trim – the Monte Carlo – it now slots below the Prestige variant, and is priced between Rs 15.60 lakh and Rs 18.30 lakh.

Skoda Slavia: 2024 price list

The Slavia Active variant, which was the entry point to the midsize sedan’s range, was priced at Rs 11.63 lakh. However, the new Slavia Classic trim brings the entry-level price down by Rs 94,000 to Rs 10.69 lakh. Meanwhile, even prices for the range-topping Slavia have reduced by a considerable amount. The new Prestige variant (Rs 15.99 lakh to Rs 18.69 lakh) undercuts the previous top-spec Style Elegance trim (Rs 17.53 lakh to Rs 18.93 lakh), although the latter was only available with the larger 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine.

While there or no major changes mechanically, Skoda says that the 115hp, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine has been certified as E20 compliant by ARAI. The 150hp, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine is currently undergoing testing and the results will be available by Q4 2024. Both engines get a 6-speed manual as standard, but the smaller unit can be optioned with a 6-speed torque convertor auto and the larger one gets a 7-speed dual-clutch auto option.
