Skoda Octavia RS launched at Rs 49.99 lakh
First lot of 100 units of the 2025 Octavia RS is already sold out, according to the Skoda India.
Skoda India has officially brought back the Octavia RS to the country for 2025, priced at an aggressive Rs 49.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The high-performance sedan marks the return of the iconic RS badge after more than five years and arrives in its fourth-generation avatar, one that has already undergone a global mid-life update.
The Octavia RS 2025 will be imported to India as a CBU (Completely Built-Up Unit) and will be limited to just 100 units in the first batch. Deliveries are set to commence on November 6, 2025, but Skoda has confirmed that the entire first lot is already sold out. Bookings, which opened earlier this year via Skoda’s official website with a Rs 2.5 lakh token amount, witnessed overwhelming interest from enthusiasts eager for the RS’s comeback.
Under the hood lies a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol TSI engine producing 265hp and 370Nm. The engine is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch (DSG) automatic gearbox driving the front wheels. Skoda claims a 0–100kph time of 6.4 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 250kph. The same engine also powers the Volkswagen Golf GTI which retails here for over Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom).
The 2025 Octavia RS is loaded with safety and convenience features, including 10 airbags, ADAS, a Head-up Display (HUD), and 360° Area View cameras. Buyers will also benefit from Skoda Auto India’s 4-year/100,000km warranty and 4-year complimentary roadside assistance, part of its standard ownership package.
True to its heritage, the Octavia RS blends understated aggression with everyday usability. RS-specific touches include a blackened front grille, RS badging, boot-lid spoiler, darkened exhaust tips, and 19-inch alloy wheels that fill the arches nicely. The sedan will be available in five exterior colours — Mamba Green, Magic Black, Candy White, Race Blue, and Velvet Red — each paired with contrasting black detailing.
Inside, the cabin features an all-black theme with suede and leatherette upholstery, red contrast stitching, and piano-black inserts. Equipment highlights include LED Matrix headlamps, front sports seats with power, heating, and massage functions, ambient lighting, a 10.25-inch digital cockpit, 12.9-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 11-speaker Canton sound system, wireless charging, and three-zone climate control.
Speaking on the launch, Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Škoda Auto India, said, “The response to the Octavia RS has been phenomenal. This iconic model has truly ignited the passion of driving enthusiasts across India, reinforcing the cult status that Octavia RS enjoys globally. As we celebrate 25 remarkable years of Škoda Auto in India, our commitment to delivering world-class cars remains stronger than ever. The RS badge symbolises more than just performance — it represents the emotional connection and trust our customers have in the Škoda brand.”
With no direct rivals on sale in India, the Octavia RS 2025 stands in a niche of its own. It appeals to enthusiasts who seek performance, practicality, and exclusivity, continuing the legacy of a cult badge in the Skoda line-up.
