Skoda Auto India Signs Ranveer Singh as First Brand Ambassador
Skoda aims to sell 100,000 cars annually by 2026 and increase its touchpoints from the current 277 to 350 by the end of 2025.
Skoda Auto India has announced Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh as its first-ever brand ambassador, marking a significant milestone as the company celebrates 25 years in the Indian market. The announcement comes shortly after the introduction of Skoda's first sub-4-metre SUV, the Kylaq.
The partnership aims to strengthen Skoda's position in India through people-centric campaigns that reflect the brand's aspirational, entertaining yet serious approach. According to Petr Janeba, Brand Director at Skoda Auto India, this collaboration aligns with the company's new era strategy focused on expanding its presence in new markets across India.
The first advertisement featuring Singh alongside the Kylaq will premiere soon, followed by a brand-centric film scheduled for late March. The film will give fans an opportunity to meet Singh and Skoda Auto India's management team later in the year.
Singh expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership, stating it reflects a shared commitment to excellence. Skoda describes the association as a natural fit, with Singh's energetic persona mirroring the brand's fun-to-drive yet reliable vehicles.
This partnership supports Skoda's ambitious growth plans for India, which the company considers its most important market outside Europe. Skoda aims to sell 100,000 cars annually by 2026 and increase its touchpoints from the current 277 to 350 by the end of 2025.
At the recent Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, Skoda showcased its evolving portfolio including electric vehicles like the Elroq and Enyaq EV, alongside the Kodiaq luxury SUV, high-performance Octavia vRS, and the Superb luxury sedan. The company recently began deliveries of the Kylaq in India.
Skoda Auto, a member of the Volkswagen Group for 30 years, delivered over 926,600 vehicles worldwide in 2024 and employs approximately 40,000 people globally.
