Six Sense Mobility, an automotive deep tech startup incubated at IIT Delhi, has raised ₹44 crore in a pre-Series A funding round led by prominent investor Ashish Kacholia, with participation from existing backer Piper Serica Angel Fund.

The Delhi-based company, founded in 2022, specializes in developing intelligent electronic systems and connected vehicle solutions for the automotive industry. The fresh capital will primarily fund the establishment of a new electronics manufacturing facility in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, with an initial annual production capacity exceeding one million units.

Operating as a full-stack Tier 1 automotive supplier, Six Sense Mobility handles the complete product development cycle in-house, from hardware and firmware to software design and OEM-grade manufacturing. The company has already supplied products including Advanced Telematics Control Units, Body Control Units, and Intelligent Implement Control Systems to major Indian automotive manufacturers such as Sonalika Tractors and Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles.

According to Sumit Roy, CEO and Co-Founder, the company has deployed between 25,000 and 30,000 devices across India and Europe, with an order book exceeding ₹160 crore. The funding will support accelerated product development and production scaling as the company works to reduce India's dependence on imported automotive technologies.

The investment comes as the global automotive sector shifts toward software-defined, connected vehicle platforms. This transition, combined with the Indian government's Make in India initiative in electronics and deep tech, is creating increased demand for local manufacturing capabilities.

Lead investor Ashish Kacholia noted that automotive electronics and software will be crucial to future vehicle innovation, citing Six Sense Mobility's vertically integrated platform and production capabilities as key competitive advantages.

Kapil Rao, the company's CTO, highlighted the startup's readiness to support the Government of India's vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communication initiative aimed at improving road safety, stating that the company possesses the necessary technology and engineering capabilities to manufacture V2V-enabled devices at scale.

This funding round follows Six Sense Mobility's pre-seed round in September 2023, led by Saurabh Nayyar of Docbel Group, and a seed round in August 2024, led by Piper Serica.
