SIAM Presents Sustainable Mobility Solutions at India Energy Week 2026

The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) showcased 16 production-ready vehicles and advanced sustainable mobility technologies at the 4th edition of India Energy Week (IEW) 2026, held from January 27-30 at the ONGC Advanced Training Institute in Goa, to demonstrate the automobile industry's progress toward India's decarbonisation goals.

The Sustainable Mobility Pavilion, located in Hall No. 3, was visited by Shri Hardeep Singh Puri, Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas. The display featured vehicles and technologies across multiple fuel and powertrain options, including electric, gas, hydrogen, and biofuels.

Ten SIAM member OEMs participated in the pavilion: Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra & Mahindra, Tata Motors, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, TVS Motor Company, Bajaj Auto, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, Kia India, Switch Mobility Automotive Ltd., and Suzuki Motorcycle India.

Prashant K Banerjee, Executive Director, SIAM, said: "India's mobility transition cannot be driven by a single solution. Given our scale, diversity and energy priorities, a multi-fuel and multi-powertrain approach is essential. Electric mobility, biofuels, gas, hydrogen and cleaner ICE technologies must progress in parallel to balance energy security, air quality, affordability and self-reliance."

India Energy Week 2026 brought together over 75,000 energy professionals, more than 700 global exhibitors from 120 countries, along with global ministers, senior policymakers, industry leaders, innovators and investors. The event focused on balancing energy access with decarbonisation goals while supporting discussions on secure, sustainable and affordable energy through strategic investments, new technologies and global partnerships.

India Energy Week 2025, held at Yashobhoomi in New Delhi, focused on positioning India as a global energy hub by fostering innovation, clean fuels, and strategic partnerships. The event brought together global leaders, policymakers, and industry players to discuss energy security, affordability, and sustainability, with strong emphasis on renewable integration, hydrogen, and biofuels.

In contrast, India Energy Week 2026 in Goa sharpened its focus on balancing energy access with decarbonisation, highlighting multi‑fuel strategies and sectoral transitions such as sustainable mobility. The shift reflects India’s evolving priorities—moving from broad energy innovation toward practical pathways for emissions reduction and competitiveness.

SIAM is an apex national body representing all major vehicle and vehicular engine manufacturers in India, registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860.
