Shriram Automall Generates Rs 170 Crore Business at National Auction Event
Large-scale auction draws 20,000 participants, showcasing diverse pre-owned vehicles and equipment across 135 locations.
Shriram Automall India Limited (SAMIL) generated business worth over Rs 170 crore at their annual SAMIL Utsav auction event on February 26, 2025. The one-day phygital auction was conducted across more than 135 locations nationwide and attracted over 20,000 customer participants from more than 500 cities.
The event, marking SAMIL's 14th business anniversary, featured approximately 18,500 pre-owned vehicles and equipment including cars, trucks, two-wheelers, three-wheelers, construction equipment, farm equipment, and other assets. These items were sourced from a diverse group of 3,400 sellers including banks, NBFCs, insurance companies, OEMs, dealers, and individual sellers.
Participants were able to place bids through multiple channels including physical locations and digital platforms such as the MySAMIL App and online auction portals bids.samil.in and cartradeexchange.com. The event also included additional services such as financing assistance, vehicle inspection, and documentation support for buyers.
"SAMIL Utsav is more than an auction; it is a celebration of trust, transparency, and innovation in the pre-owned vehicle sector," said Sameer Malhotra, Director & CEO of SAMIL. The company also implemented their machine learning tool, The PriceX, to help buyers and sellers determine optimal pricing for used vehicles and equipment.

Adroit Auto also participated in the event, providing services including inspection, valuation, claim processing, and verification services to the pre-owned automobile industry. The company also conducted corporate social responsibility activities including educational scholarship distributions, tree plantations, and water cooler installations as part of the event.
