Renowned music composer and singer Shankar Mahadevan has taken delivery of the MG M9, a luxury electric limousine from JSW MG Motor India's premium SELECT portfolio.
The MG M9, marketed as "The Presidential Limousine," represents the automaker's entry into the ultra-luxury segment. Interior appointments include Cognac brown leather upholstery, ambient lighting, and a yacht-style dual sunroof.
Audio capabilities are provided through a 13-speaker premium sound system equipped with a subwoofer and amplifier. The limousine is available in three exterior colors: Pearl Lustre White, Metal Black, and Concrete Grey. Design elements include a trapezoidal grille, split LED headlamps, waterfall-style taillights, and 19-inch ContiSeal tyres.
The M9 is powered by a 90-kWh NMC battery pack that delivers 245 PS of power and 350 Nm of torque. The manufacturer claims a driving range of 548 kilometers and states the vehicle can charge from 30% to 80% capacity in 30 minutes. Safety features include seven airbags, Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), and the vehicle has received 5-star ratings from both EURO NCAP and ANCAP safety assessment programs.
