Shailesh Chandra takes over as SIAM President

The Executive Committee of Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), the apex body representing the country’s leading automobile manufacturers, today elected Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd, as it’s new President for 2024-25. 

Shailesh Chandra, who previously served as the Vice President of SIAM, succeeds Vinod Aggarwal, Managing Director & CEO of Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles Ltd.

The new office bearers were elected during the Executive Committee Meeting held today. The members of SIAM also elected Shenu Agarwal, MD & CEO, Ashok Leyland Ltd., as the Vice President of SIAM for 2024-25.  Satyakam Arya, CEO & MD, Daimler India Commercial Vehicles was elected as the Treasurer of SIAM for 2024-25.

The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) is an apex national body representing all major vehicle and vehicular engine manufacturers in India, just concluded its 64th Annual Convention focused on “Aatmanirbhar in automobile supply chain & leveraging India’s potential in global Markets.
