Indian unit of Swedish automaker Scania Commercial Vehicles AB, Scania Commercial Vehicles Pvt Ltd, has entered into an exclusive partnership with automotive dealer PPS Motors for pan India sales and service of its mining tippers.

PPS Motors will be the sole representative for Scania's mining tippers in India. The dealer has six regional warehouses across the country, close to the mining sites. The warehouses are also strategically connected to Scania's central warehouse in Nagpur, creating a robust hub-and-spoke model, according to a press release.

Scania India provides tailored products and maintenance for mining-specific demands. “The company provides tailor-made solutions by detecting, analysing, and continuously optimizing critical points of the mine that lead to higher availability, increased productivity, and better customer profitability,” Scania India said in the press release.

PPS Motors Managing Director Rajiv Sanghvi noted that the dealer is investing in creating additional touch points to provide deeper and wider coverage.
