Shriram Automall India Limited (SAMIL) has reported business worth over ₹100 crore through its Diwali Auction 2025, conducted across more than 135 locations nationwide on October 27, 2025. The event showcased approximately 11,000 pre-owned vehicles and equipment from various institutional sellers.

The auction attracted around 13,000 participants who bid on assets ranging from two-wheelers and passenger cars to commercial vehicles, tractors, and construction machinery. SAMIL's hybrid auction model allowed buyers to participate either physically at Automall locations or digitally through the MySAMIL App and the company's online bidding platform at bids.samil.in.

The pre-owned vehicles and equipment were sourced from non-banking financial companies (NBFCs), banks, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), insurance companies, aggregators, and dealers. According to the company, buyers included farmers, fleet operators, and entrepreneurs from various states including Punjab, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu.

"Hosting 135+ auctions simultaneously and achieving over ₹100 Crores in transactions in a single day is not just a milestone; it's a testament to trust, technology, and teamwork," said Sameer Malhotra, Director and CEO of SAMIL.

The event comes at a time when the automotive sector is experiencing changes in GST rates for new vehicles, which the company noted in its announcement.

As part of its corporate social responsibility initiatives during the auction period, SAMIL awarded Junior Einstein Scholarships to children of individuals working in the automotive industry and organized tree plantation drives at auction locations across the country.

Founded in 2011, SAMIL operates as a marketplace for pre-owned vehicles and equipment with backing from CarTrade Tech Limited and Shriram Finance Limited. The company maintains over 135 Automall locations across India with approximately 1,400 employees and claims to have served more than 2.65 million customers since inception.
