The Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) has appointed Sai Giridhar as its 38th President for the term 2026–28. The decision was taken at the 323rd Governing Council Meeting, held on 1 September 2026 in New Delhi, immediately following FADA's 62nd Annual General Meeting.

Giridhar is the Managing Director of Saisha Motors Pvt. Ltd., a Jaipur-based dealership group representing Skoda, Volvo Cars, JSW MG Motor and MG Select in Rajasthan. He succeeds C S Vigneshwar, who led the organisation through the preceding term.

Giridhar began his career in automobile retail in 1995 with a Daewoo Motors dealership in Jaipur. Following Daewoo's exit from the Indian market in 2003, he transitioned to Chevrolet dealership operations, eventually expanding across seven cities in Rajasthan. In 2011, he was among the first 13 Renault dealers in India. He has been associated with Skoda Auto since 2017 and later added MG Select — MG Motor's luxury retail channel — to his portfolio.

He has been a member of FADA for over a decade, having served as State Chairperson for Rajasthan for four years before joining the federation's central leadership. He has also served as Secretary of the Authorised Motor Association of Rajasthan for more than ten years.

The Governing Council also elected the remaining office bearers for 2026–28. Amar Jatin Sheth, Managing Director of Group Shaman — which holds dealerships for Honda Cars, Volkswagen and Triumph in Mumbai — was elevated to Vice President. Pradeep Agarwal, Managing Partner of JMG Group in Odisha, a dealership group representing Hero MotoCorp and Ather Energy, was appointed Secretary. Bharat Kumar Chordia, Managing Director of Khivraj Motors Pvt. Ltd. in Chennai, was unanimously elected Treasurer.

Outgoing President C S Vigneshwar noted that FADA's retail data, which the body had previously advocated for, had become an industry-wide planning benchmark during his tenure. He also said the organisation had moved from seeking representation with government bodies to being consulted by them.

In his first statement after assuming charge, Giridhar said his focus for the next two years would be on strengthening OEM–dealer relationships, improving dealership viability and profitability, and ensuring that dealers of all sizes and geographies felt represented by the federation. He also said he intended to position automobile retail as a sector offering long-term career prospects, particularly for younger entrants.

Founded in 1964, FADA is the apex national body for automobile retail in India. It represents over 15,000 dealerships with more than 30,000 outlets across the country, covering two- and three-wheelers, passenger cars, commercial vehicles and tractors. The federation employs approximately five million people across dealerships and service centres and engages with central and state governments on policy matters including taxation, vehicle registration and road safety.
