Royal Enfield’s sales fall 5% YoY in June

Royal Enfield’s sales fall 5% YoY in June

Eicher Motors-owned Royal Enfield today reported a 5% decline in its June sales on a year-on-year basis amid weakness in the sales of motorcycles with engine capacity up to 350 cc.

The automaker sold a total of 73,141 motorcycles, compared with 77,109 motorcycles in June 2023, the company said. Both domestic and international markets declined during the month.

Sales of models with engine capacity up to 350cc fell 10 percent to 61,465 units, while sales of models with engine capacity exceeding 350 cc rose 38 percent to 11,676 units. International sales dropped 7% to 7,024 units.

For the quarter ended June, Royal Enfield’s total sales remained flat at 2.27 lakh motorcycles on a year-on-year basis. International business grew 8% to 22,221 units.

Royal Enfield’s portfolio includes ten models – Bullet 350, Classic 350, Hunter 350, Meteor 350, the 411cc-engine powered Scram 411 and Himalayan adventure bikes, the 650cc twins (Interceptor 650, Continental GT 650), the Super Meteor 650 and Shotgun 650. The automaker will launch its much-awaited Guerilla 450 model this month.
