Royal Enfield recorded its highest-ever monthly sales in September 2026, selling 1,33,958 motorcycles, up 8 percent from 1,24,328 units sold in September 2025. Domestic sales increased 7 percent to 1,21,326 units, while exports rose 17 percent to 12,632 units.
The company said the Himalayan 440, launched earlier in September to mark a decade of the Himalayan brand, is fully booked for six months. The motorcycle uses a 443cc long-stroke engine and six-speed gearbox and was launched at the inaugural Himalayan Basecamp in Ladakh.
Royal Enfield's cumulative sales for the April-September period also increased 20 percent year on year to 7,09,096 motorcycles, compared with 5,91,903 units in the corresponding period of 2025. Domestic sales rose 23 percent to 6,42,021 units, while exports declined 5 percent to 67,075 units.
Royal Enfield September Sales Rise 8 Percent
Domestic sales accounted for the majority of Royal Enfield's September volumes, increasing from 1,13,573 units in September 2025 to 1,21,326 units in September 2026. Export volumes increased from 10,755 to 12,632 units during the same period.
B. Govindarajan, managing director of Eicher Motors and CEO of Royal Enfield, said the company was increasing production, inventory and channel readiness ahead of the festive period, citing its booking pipeline and customer demand.
Himalayan 440 Booked For Six Months
The Himalayan 440 was introduced as part of Royal Enfield's 10th-anniversary activities for the Himalayan brand. It gets an upgraded 443cc long-stroke engine, a six-speed gearbox and mechanical changes aimed at durability and touring use. The motorcycle is available in Sela Black, Mustang Brown and Nelong White.
The company also introduced the Classic 350 Signature White variant. It is positioned as one of the top-end Classic 350 variants and gets features including brown touring seats, an assist and slipper clutch, adjustable clutch and brake levers, USB Type-C fast charging and a Tripper Pod as standard.
Flying Flea C6 Enters Europe And UK
Royal Enfield's electric mobility brand Flying Flea launched the C6 in five European and UK cities: Paris, Barcelona, Rome, Berlin and London. Deliveries are scheduled to begin by October 2026, with dedicated service infrastructure planned at the respective Flying Flea stores.
The company also said it retained its position in the Two-Wheeler OEM category of the FADA Dealer Satisfaction Survey 2026 for a second consecutive year. Royal Enfield recorded 878 index points in the sixth edition of the survey, according to the release.
Royal Enfield Reports 1.5 Lakh Riders For One Ride 2026
Royal Enfield said more than 150,000 riders participated in One Ride 2026 across 60 countries through more than 1,600 rides. The initiative included a contribution towards snow leopard conservation for each participating rider, according to the company.
In international markets, Royal Enfield launched the Guerrilla 450 Apex and Goan Classic 350 in the Philippines, while the Bullet 650 and Guerrilla Apex 450 were announced for Cambodia. The company also held its first Moto Mongolia ride and completed its first marquee ride in Brazil.
