Royal Enfield records highest-ever monthly sales in October, 31% Y-o-Y growth

Last month the company announced its debut in the Bangladesh market.

Royal Enfield records highest-ever monthly sales in October, 31% Y-o-Y growth

Royal Enfield recorded its highest-ever monthly sales of 110,574 motorcycles in October 2024. The manufacturer posted a 31% growth compared to October 2023, when it sold 84,435 motorcycles. The company's domestic sales reached 101,886 units, whilst exports stood at 8,688 units, marking a 150% increase in overseas shipments.

B Govindarajan, CEO of Royal Enfield, said, "The month of October has been truly remarkable for Royal Enfield, we have broken records with a whopping 100,000+ sales in a single month! This is our biggest and milestone festive season sale and surpasses all our previous sales performance records."

The company has expanded its presence in the SAARC region by launching a manufacturing unit in Bangladesh's Cumilla District. The facility, established in partnership with IFAD Motors, has an annual capacity of 30,000 units and will produce four models: Hunter 350, Meteor 350, Classic 350, and Bullet 350.

The firm has also unveiled its new Bear 650 motorcycle, a purpose-built scrambler that shares its platform with the Interceptor 650. The complete specifications and pricing details for the Bear 650 will be announced on 5 November 2024 at EICMA.

Royal Enfield, which began manufacturing motorcycles in 1901, currently operates through more than 2,000 stores across India and 850 stores in over 60 countries. The company maintains two technical centres in Bruntingthorpe, UK, and Chennai, India, alongside two production facilities near Chennai. It has also established six CKD assembly facilities globally in Bangladesh, Nepal, Brazil, Thailand, Argentina and Colombia.
