Royal Enfield posts 5% YoY growth in total March sales; FY24 volume up 9%

About 90% of the Royal Enfield sales come from models with engine capacity of up to 350 cc.

Royal Enfield recorded 5% on-year growth in its March sales volume while its sales for the full financial year 2024 rose 9%. Strong domestic sales helped the company offset the impact of weakness in the international market.

The automaker dispatched a total of 75,551 two-wheelers in March, against 72,235 units in March last year. About 90% of the Royal Enfield sales come from models with engine capacity of up to 350 cc.

Sales of models with engine capacity engine capacity up to 350cc rose 6% to 66,363 units, while sales of models with engine capacity exceeding 350 cc declined 3% to 9,188 units. International sales fell 23% to 9,507 units.

For the full financial year, the company dispatched 912,732 two-wheelers, as compared to 834,895 units in the previous financial year. Sales of models with engine capacity up to 350cc increased 10% to 812,159 units, while sales of models with capacity exceeding 350 cc rose 2% to 100,573 units. International sales, however, fell 22% to 100,573 units.

Royal Enfield’s portfolio includes ten models – Bullet 350, Classic 350, Hunter 350, Meteor 350, the 411cc-engine powered Scram 411 and Himalayan adventure bikes, the 650cc twins (Interceptor 650, Continental GT 650), the Super Meteor 650 and the Shotgun 650.
