Royal Enfield Introduces Gymkhana Rider Training Program in Bengaluru
Motorcycle manufacturer launches skill certification modules with expert coaching, progressive levels, and multi-terrain challenges for riders.
Royal Enfield has launched Gymkhana, a structured rider training program designed to make advanced motorcycle skills accessible to riders regardless of the brand of two-wheeler they own.
The inaugural event took place in Bengaluru over the weekend, featuring two-hour certification modules where participants trained across six different tracks and rode four different motorcycle models.
The program includes purpose-built arenas, each targeting specific riding skills across various formats. Participants experienced drift and drag runs on the Guerrilla 450, off-road sessions on the Himalayan 450, challenges in the Hustle Arena with the Hunter 350, and urban enduro courses on the Scram 440.
Gymkhana features both off-road and tarmac tracks, allowing riders to test their abilities in timed challenges across diverse terrains. The program is structured around expert coaching, progressive skill levels, and certifications, with competitions integrated into the training format.
Royal Enfield positions the initiative as a platform for riders to develop control and confidence in a controlled environment before applying these skills on public roads.
The company, which began manufacturing in India in 1955 following its British origins dating back to 1901, operates through more than 2,074 stores across India and nearly 1,212 stores in over 80 countries. Royal Enfield is a division of Eicher Motors Limited and maintains production facilities near Chennai, along with technical centers in the UK and India.
The motorcycle manufacturer hosts various community events, including Motoverse in Goa and the annual Himalayan Odyssey ride.
