Royal Enfield Concludes Inaugural Slide School Cup India Championship in Jaipur

Royal Enfield's inaugural Slide School Cup India reached its conclusion today at the company's new facility in Jaipur, with Anish Shetty emerging as champion following an intense final round of competition.

The championship, which attracted over 100 riders from across India, culminated in a dramatic tie-breaker between Shetty and Sathya Raj Arumugam, both finishing with 39 points. Shetty clinched the title based on his victory in the third race of the final round, while Arumugam secured the first runner-up position. Karan Drishya rounded out the podium as second runner-up with 29 points.

The three-month tournament, which began at Motoverse 2024, featured seven races across five rounds in four major cities: Goa, Pune, Bengaluru, and Jaipur. Competitors showcased their skills on specially designed FT 411 Slide School motorcycles, pushing the limits of flat track racing.

"The first edition of Royal Enfield Slide School Cup in India was a brilliant showcase of the abundant talent the Slide School graduates have to offer. We witnessed some outstanding performances from the riders, and I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to every rider. The Slide School Cup is designed to highlight the crucial role flat track racing plays in elevating a rider's skill set improving control and adaptability across all terrains. We are committed to the vision of making motorsports more accessible and we look forward to bringing even more exciting opportunities in the upcoming seasons." said Adrian Sellers, Head of Custom and Motorsport at Royal Enfield.

The championship weekend opened with an International Flat Track Masterclass conducted by renowned racer Gary Birtwistle, providing participants with valuable insights before the final competition. The event marked the inaugural use of Royal Enfield's new Jaipur Track facility, which features specialised zones for various riding disciplines including flat track racing and off-road challenges.

This Indian championship follows the successful European launch of the Slide School Cup in 2024. The program builds upon Royal Enfield's Slide School initiative, which began in 2019 and has since expanded to six countries including the UK, USA, Thailand, and various European locations.

The new Royal Enfield Jaipur Track, located in the RIICO Industrial Area at Kukas, represents a significant investment in the company's training infrastructure. The facility encompasses four distinct zones - Adventure Zone, Slide Zone, Technical Zone, and a riders' lounge - and will serve as a hub for both customer training programs and factory team development.

The Slide School Cup has established itself as a vital platform for graduates of the company's training programs to transition into competitive racing while maintaining focus on skill development and accessibility.
