Rolls-Royce CEO Holds Meeting with Indian Prime Minister in New Delhi

Rolls-Royce Chief Executive Officer Tufan Erginbilgic met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the capital on Tuesday, signaling potential expansion of the British engineering company's presence in India.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Modi expressed support for Rolls-Royce's interest in increasing its activities within the country. "We welcome Rolls-Royce's enthusiasm towards scaling up its activities in India and partnering with our innovative and dynamic youth," the Prime Minister stated.

Following the discussion, Modi shared his remarks on social media platform X, describing the meeting as "wonderful" and reiterating India's openness to collaboration with the aerospace and defense manufacturer.

The Press Information Bureau of Delhi announced the meeting, though specific details regarding the nature of proposed partnerships or expansion plans were not disclosed in the official statement.

Rolls-Royce, known for its aircraft engines and power systems, already maintains operations in India. The meeting suggests potential growth in the company's engagement with Indian industry and workforce development initiatives.
