Rockwell Automation Launches SecureOT Cybersecurity Suite for Industrial Operations

Rockwell Automation has introduced SecureOT, a new industrial cybersecurity solution suite designed to help manufacturers and critical infrastructure operators protect their operational technology systems from evolving cyber threats.

The Milwaukee-based company, which employs approximately 26,000 people globally, announced the launch on November 13, 2025, positioning SecureOT as an integrated offering that combines platform technology, professional services, and managed security services tailored specifically for industrial environments.

The solution addresses growing concerns around operational technology security as industrial operations become increasingly connected. Many legacy industrial systems were not originally designed with cybersecurity capabilities, and traditional IT security tools often prove inadequate for complex industrial environments.

"Cyber threats to industrial operations are evolving faster than ever, and legacy defenses simply can't keep up," said Matthew Fordenwalt, senior vice president of Lifecycle Services at Rockwell Automation. He described SecureOT as representing a strategic shift in how industrial organizations approach cybersecurity.

The SecureOT Platform provides real-time asset visibility, risk prioritization, and vulnerability management across diverse vendor ecosystems. The offering also includes professional services for strategic advisory, assessments, and implementation support, as well as 24/7 monitoring and incident response through Rockwell's dedicated OT Security Operations Center and Network Operations Center.

The solution aligns with recognized cybersecurity frameworks including NIST CSF, NIS2, and IEC 62443, and takes a vendor-neutral approach to securing industrial control systems.

Dilip Sawhney, managing director of Rockwell Automation India, highlighted the strategic importance of OT security for India's manufacturing sector. "As industries adopt AI and connected systems, the convergence of IT and OT demands a cybersecurity-first mindset," he said, noting its relevance to the Make in India initiative.

According to Rockwell Automation, early implementations have shown measurable results. A leading oil and gas producer achieved full OT asset visibility and addressed critical risks across remote operations within six months. A large beverage manufacturer migrated aging industrial network infrastructure across more than 150 global sites to a fully managed system. An energy company doubled its NIST CSF maturity scores, while a power utility achieved NERC CIP compliance while reducing monitoring costs.

Hollie Hennessy, OT/IoT cybersecurity lead analyst at Omdia, described the launch as "a significant step forward for industrial cybersecurity maturity," noting that SecureOT's layered approach integrates asset visibility, vulnerability management, and managed detection services within a single framework.

The SecureOT solution suite is now available to industrial organizations globally.
