Revolt Motors achieves 197% Year-on-Year sales growth in November 2024

India’s electric motorcycle manufacturer reports 1,994 units sold, driven by new RV1 models. The company also records a 109% month-on-month increase and expands operations to Sri Lanka, marking its first international venture.

Revolt Motors, a prominent electric motorcycle manufacturer in India, recorded a 197% year-on-year increase in vehicle sales and a 109% month-on-month growth. The company sold 1,994 units in November 2024, compared to 671 units in November 2023 and 952 units in October 2024. This growth comes despite the electric two-wheeler (E2W) industry reporting an average sales decline of 18-20% during the same period, according to the Government of India’s Vahan Portal data.

The company attributes this growth to the introduction of its new RV1 and RV1+ models. These electric motorcycles, designed to cater to the Indian market, have seen strong consumer interest and pre-orders, leading to increased sales. The models are aimed at providing affordable and reliable alternatives to traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles, combining advanced technology with cost efficiency.

Commenting on the sales performance, Anjali Rattan, Chairperson of RattanIndia Enterprises, stated that the figures reflect the acceptance of Revolt’s products and the growing customer confidence in the brand. She added that the company remains focused on offering innovative and sustainable mobility solutions.

Revolt Motors currently operates through 154 dealerships across India and plans to open 14 additional dealerships by the end of December 2024 to improve accessibility in urban and semi-urban areas.

In a move towards international expansion, the company began operations in Sri Lanka on 25th November 2024, marking its entry into the global market. The launch has received a positive response, with substantial pre-orders in the first week. Revolt Motors aims to expand further into international markets in 2025 as part of its strategy to strengthen its presence in the electric mobility segment.
