Renault India has resumed vehicle exports to Sri Lanka, taking its international export footprint to 16 countries. The company has dispatched its first shipment of 100 Made-in-India vehicles comprising the all-new Triber, Kwid and Kiger from Chennai.

Renault India is re-entering the Sri Lankan market in partnership with AMW Motors, an automotive distributor in the country. The partnership will support the company's commercial operations in Sri Lanka as it rebuilds its presence in the market.

The company also plans to introduce the New Duster in Sri Lanka as part of an expanded product portfolio. Renault said the wider range is intended to allow it to participate across more vehicle segments in the market.

The first shipment consists of the all-new Triber, Kwid and Kiger, with the vehicles manufactured at Renault India's facility in Oragadam, Chennai. The plant caters to both domestic demand and international markets.

Francisco Hidalgo, Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Renault India, said the resumption of exports is part of the company's international expansion plans. He added that Renault intends to increase the reach of vehicles manufactured in India and strengthen the country's role as an export base, supported by local partnerships and its product range.
