ReadyAssist, an Indian AutoTech company, has announced the launch of Project Shakthi, an initiative to increase women's participation in the automobile service industry. The programme plans to train 300 women across 15 cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Pune, over the next two years, with an initial target of onboarding 25 women within the first six to twelve months.

Participants can earn up to INR 50,000 per month, working on a flexible freelance model that allows them to set their own hours. The programme requires no prior technical experience or minimum educational qualification; eligibility is limited to women of legal working age who hold a valid driving licence and can ride a two-wheeler.

Training consists of a free, structured 10-day programme combining classroom instruction with hands-on field exposure. Women are initially trained as Dashcam and GPS Fitment Technicians, covering installation, configuration, and basic diagnostics, with pathways to expand into additional service areas over time.

The initiative builds on a pilot conducted in Bengaluru, where the first batch of women technicians has already completed training and is actively working in the field. The company cited positive customer feedback and strong performance from early participants as indicators of the model's viability.

Founder and CEO Vimal Singh SV said the programme is designed to create structured career pathways for women in technical, customer-facing roles, and described the Bengaluru pilot outcomes as a strong indicator of what is possible with the right training and support infrastructure.

In its next phase, ReadyAssist plans to collaborate with women's empowerment organisations, training institutes, and government bodies to extend the programme's reach. The company currently operates across 19,100+ pin codes with over 11,000 technicians and 6,500 tow trucks nationwide.
