RapidE Power and iGO Wise Mobility Announce Battery Swap Partnership
The collaboration deploys battery-as-a-service model across Hyderabad and Bangalore, targeting fleet operators and individual consumers with subscription-based battery delivery service to eliminate charging infrastructure requirements and reduce upfront EV costs.
RapidE Power & Mobility Solutions and iGO Wise Mobility have entered into a strategic partnership to deploy a battery swap delivery service using the BeiGO X4 Rugged Utility Vehicle. The initiative aims to address charging infrastructure challenges and high upfront costs associated with electric vehicle adoption.
The partnership introduces a Battery-as-a-Service model where customers pay a monthly subscription after completing an onboarding process with a security deposit. Batteries are delivered to customer locations on a predetermined schedule, removing the need for home or workplace charging infrastructure.
The service targets both business-to-business and business-to-consumer segments, including fleet operators, last-mile delivery companies, and individual users. Operations will begin in Hyderabad and Bangalore, with planned expansion to Maharashtra and Odisha.
Sambit Patnaik, Founder and Director of RapidE Power, noted the partnership expands the company's portfolio from two-wheelers to three-wheelers and trikes. The collaboration also extends RapidE's geographic presence to Bangalore, building on existing operations in Hyderabad and Nagpur, with future expansion planned for Bhubaneswar.
Sravan Appana, CEO of iGO Wise Mobility, stated the BeiGO X4 was designed for safety, comfort, and utility in urban environments. The vehicle's stability accommodates RapidE's delivery model, while the energy network makes the vehicles more cost-competitive with traditional petrol scooters.
RapidE Power operates in the Battery-as-a-Service and Energy-as-a-Service sectors, providing battery swap delivery services to eliminate charging infrastructure needs. iGO Wise Mobility, based in Bangalore, manufactures multi-wheel electric vehicles featuring patented anti-topple tilting technology.
The partnership represents an expansion of electric mobility infrastructure in India, combining battery service technology with specialized vehicle platforms designed for urban commercial and personal transportation.
