RAKEZ and Rana Group Announce Partnership for Erisha Smart Manufacturing Hub in Ras Al Khaimah
RAKEZ and Rana Group partner to launch Erisha Smart Manufacturing Hub in Ras Al Khaimah, a $10 billion integrated industrial project set to boost clean energy, advanced manufacturing, and economic diversification.
Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) has announced a strategic partnership with India-based Rana Group to develop the Erisha Smart Manufacturing Hub in Ras Al Khaimah. The project, which will be operated through Rana Group’s EV-focused subsidiary, Erisha E Mobility, is expected to support industrial growth and technological advancement in the region, with potential expansion into the Middle East and Africa markets.
The Erisha Smart Manufacturing Hub will cover a total area of approximately 15 million square feet, with a planned construction area of around 25 million square feet. Located across 335 acres, the facility is designed to accommodate more than 150 industries, focusing on advanced manufacturing sectors including electric and hydrogen-powered vehicles, renewable energy systems, electric vertical take-off and landing (EVTOL) aircraft, and semiconductor production.
In addition to industrial infrastructure, the development will include mixed-use components such as residential zones, commercial spaces, healthcare facilities, medical colleges, retail complexes, hypermarkets, warehouses, office buildings, community centers, and financial institutions. The project is projected to attract around USD 10 billion in investment.
Upon completion, the hub is expected to contribute an estimated USD 5 to 6 billion annually to the UAE’s GDP and generate approximately 4,000 jobs in Ras Al Khaimah.
Dr. Darshan Rana, Chairman and Managing Director of Erisha E Mobility, stated that the collaboration with RAKEZ aligns with the company’s long-term vision for sustainable industrial development. “The Erisha Smart Manufacturing Hub is positioned to play a role in advancing green energy technologies and supporting regional economic diversification,” he said.
Ramy Jallad, Group CEO of RAKEZ, emphasized Ras Al Khaimah’s growing reputation as a destination for innovation and sustainable industrial projects. “With its strategic location, well-developed infrastructure, and supportive business environment, Ras Al Khaimah offers strong advantages for large-scale, future-focused developments like the Erisha Smart Manufacturing Hub,” Jallad noted.
The partnership reflects a mutual focus on promoting economic diversification, technological innovation, and sustainability. RAKEZ’s established ecosystem for business operations is expected to facilitate Erisha E Mobility’s regional expansion, positioning the hub as a significant player in advanced manufacturing and clean energy initiatives in the UAE and beyond.
