Rajputana Biodiesel Limited has received approval from the Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited (RRECL) to establish two 5 TPD (tonnes per day) Compressed Bio Gas (CBG) production facilities in Rajasthan, according to a regulatory filing dated today.

The projects will be located in Village-Jetpura, District-Ajmer and Village-Bhakari, Tehsil-Parbatsar, District-Nagaur, as confirmed in the company's disclosure to the National Stock Exchange under Regulation 30 of SEBI's Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements.

The approval falls under Section-C, clause 1.4 of the Rajasthan Integrated Clean Energy Policy, 2024, which aims to promote renewable energy initiatives across the state. The registration numbers assigned are B/CBG/2024/6 for the Ajmer project and B/CBG/2024/007 for the Nagaur facility.

"With this registration, we are well-positioned to diversify into the Compressed Bio Gas sector and to meet the increasing demand of biogas and maximizing its significant benefits," the company stated in its filing. Rajputana Biodiesel further indicated that the approval is granted on a perpetual basis unless explicitly revoked.

The approval comes with several conditions, including mandatory licenses from the Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organization (PESO), adherence to environmental guidelines for CBG plants, and compliance with fire safety regulations. The company paid registration charges of Rs. 30,000 plus GST per TPD for the 5 TPD projects.

Compressed Bio Gas is produced through the purification of biogas derived from organic waste, providing a renewable alternative to conventional fossil fuels. The Indian government has been promoting CBG production as part of its efforts to reduce dependence on imported natural gas and support sustainable energy solutions.

Rajputana Biodiesel Limited, formerly known as Rajputana Biodiesel Private Limited, primarily operates in the alternative fuels sector. The company will need to secure additional regulatory approvals before commencing construction of the manufacturing facilities.

The approval letter was signed by Yogendra Mathur, Director (Technical) of Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited, which functions as a government undertaking responsible for implementing renewable energy policies in the state.
