PURE Set to Enter Energy Storage Market with New Product Line
PURE Energy is expanding its footprint in the renewable energy sector with the launch of PuREPower, a new product line focused on energy storage solutions designed to address grid stability challenges while supporting India's clean energy goals.
PUR Energy (PURE), a leading player in India's energy storage and electric mobility sectors, has announced plans to launch a new product line called PuREPower on March 25, 2025, in Hyderabad. The company will showcase its latest innovations in energy storage technology during an exclusive event at HICC Novotel.
The PuREPower product line aims to integrate advanced battery technology with AI-based power electronics and efficient electric power systems compatible with renewable energy control. According to PURE's founder and Managing Director, Dr. Nishanth Dongari, these products are designed to support net-zero goals across various scales.
"We are excited to introduce PuREPower, which synergizes advanced battery technology, AI-based power electronics, and a highly efficient electric power system with renewable energy control," said Dr. Dongari.
Co-founder and CEO Rohit Vadera highlighted how the new product line addresses key challenges in renewable energy integration, particularly the "duck curve" effect that impacts grid stability as solar generation fluctuates throughout the day.
"The government has prioritized energy storage at all levels: grid scale, commercial and solar-rooftop," Vadera noted. "PuREPower strategically aligns with this mission by providing intelligent energy storage products that effectively store renewable energy, mitigate fluctuations, ensure seamless integration of renewables, and bolster grid resilience."
The launch event will feature Dr. V.K. Saraswat, Member of NITI Aayog, and Mr. Eugene Huang, Chairman of Creative Sensor Inc. and Teco Image Systems, who will officially unveil the product line. Attendees will have the opportunity to see product demonstrations and learn about commercial and distribution aspects of the offerings.
PURE, which was incubated at i-TIC, IIT Hyderabad, has established itself as a technology company in the climate tech space with over 100 intellectual property assets. The company currently operates more than 80 dealerships across India and serves a customer base of approximately 80,000.
India has set ambitious renewable energy targets as part of its climate commitments, aiming to install 500 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030. Energy storage solutions are increasingly seen as critical infrastructure to enable high penetration of intermittent renewable sources like solar and wind power into the electricity grid.
