PB Wheels, a brand of PB Fintech Group, has launched a complimentary designated driver service in Delhi NCR, allowing customers to book a professional driver after consuming alcohol rather than getting behind the wheel themselves.

The service, named 'Safe Drive Home', is available exclusively to PB Wheels customers and operates through a 24/7 helpline. Once a booking is made, a professional driver is dispatched and is expected to arrive within 60 minutes. The driver verifies the customer's details before driving the vehicle to the requested destination.

The launch comes against the backdrop of rising drunk driving incidents in the region. According to figures cited by the company, Delhi authorities recorded more than 22,700 drunk driving cases in 2024, a rise of approximately 40 percent from the previous year. In the first three months of 2025 alone, around 7,700 cases were recorded. Nationally, over 10,000 road accidents in 2022 were attributed to driving under the influence of alcohol.

Sarbvir Singh, Joint Group CEO of PB Fintech, said the service reflects a commitment to road safety that extends beyond insurance products. "Drunk driving is one of the most preventable causes of road accidents, yet it continues to rise year after year," he said. "We believe we have a responsibility to go beyond insurance and actively enable safer behaviour."

PB Wheels positions 'Safe Drive Home' as part of a broader strategy to offer end-to-end support across the car ownership journey. The company already provides services including motor insurance claims facilitation, vehicle repairs, and preventive maintenance, and is operational in more than 160 cities across India. It has assisted customers in processing over 20,000 insurance claims worth Rs 30 crore in recent years.

The company has not disclosed pricing details for the service beyond confirming it is offered at no cost to customers. No timeline has been announced for expanding the programme beyond Delhi NCR.
