Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has partnered with Anime India 2026, a multi-city anime convention series organised by Animation Express, as the automaker looks to expand engagement with younger audiences through experiential marketing initiatives.

The partnership will debut at Anime India Delhi, scheduled to be held at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi, on June 6–7, where Toyota will display the Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Glanza and Urban Cruiser Taisor across dedicated stalls at the venue.

The event lineup includes a J-pop concert featuring Japanese artist Yurika and the India debut appearance of Japanese voice actor Inoue Kazuhiko, known for voicing the character Kakashi in Naruto.

Toyota said the Urban Cruiser Hyryder will anchor its main exhibition area, which will feature visitor activities including quizzes, spin-the-wheel contests and stamp rallies. The company will also display anime-themed vehicle wraps inspired by the series Attack on Titan across all three showcased vehicles.

“Anime India offers a unique platform to connect with a highly passionate community that strongly identifies with creativity, self-expression and contemporary pop culture,” said Sabari Manohar, executive vice president, sales-service-used car business, Toyota Kirloskar Motor.

Anime India has recorded participation of more than 60,000 attendees across its previous two editions, according to the organisers. The platform focuses on anime, manga, gaming and Japanese popular culture, attracting fans, creators, cosplayers and international participants.

The partnership reflects a broader trend among automakers using pop culture-led experiences and community events to engage younger consumers beyond traditional automotive marketing channels.
