Olectra Greentech Appoints Suhas Athma as VP-Human Resources

Olectra Greentech Limited has appointed Suhas Athma as Vice President-Human Resources, effective February 6, 2026, bringing over 20 years of strategic HR leadership experience across pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, and automotive sectors.

Olectra Greentech Limited announced the appointment of Suhas Athma as Vice President-Human Resources, designated as Senior Management Personnel, effective February 6, 2026. 

Athma brings over two decades of expertise in strategic HR management, performance management systems, employee and industrial relations, and change management. His professional experience spans diverse industries including pharmaceuticals, auto ancillary, telecommunications, and consulting.

Throughout his career, Athma has held senior HR leadership positions at several prominent organizations, including Telenor India, Syngenta, ETS India Pvt. Ltd, Computer Sciences Corporation, and Dr. Reddy's Laboratories.

His educational credentials include a postgraduate qualification in Human Resource Management from XLRI, Jamshedpur, and a Diploma in Business Management from IMM. Additionally, he holds a Master of Arts degree in Defence Studies from the University of Madras.

The company was incorporated in 2000 and is listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE). It operates manufacturing facilities in Hyderabad. The product portfolio includes electric buses in various configurations and sizes, as well as electric trucks and tippers. The insulator business produces composite polymer insulators used in electrical grid applications.

Olectra's Research and Development centre has accreditation from the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research of the Government of India. The company holds ISO-9001 certification.

The company's electric buses are deployed in urban transport networks and by institutional customers in India. Olectra also supplies certain products to markets outside India. The company has stated objectives to expand manufacturing capacity and develop additional products within the electric vehicle segment.

Manufacturing operations for electric buses are based in facilities located in the Hyderabad region. The company produces vehicles intended for city and intercity transport applications.
