Ola Electric has announced the expansion of its Hyperservice initiative into an open platform, making its genuine spare parts, diagnostic tools, and service training accessible to independent garages, mechanics, and fleet operators across India.
From October 27, customers and independent service providers can purchase Ola Electric's genuine spare parts directly through the company's mobile app and website, eliminating intermediaries in the supply chain. The move affects over one million Ola customers who will now have greater flexibility in choosing where to service their electric vehicles.
The rollout will occur in phases throughout the current quarter. Phase 1 focuses on making key spare parts available through digital channels. Subsequent phases will introduce access to diagnostic tools and technician certification programs, allowing mechanics to become trained and certified on Ola vehicles independently.
"We have built our service ecosystem from first principles, using technology to make it fast, transparent, and efficient," said Bhavish Aggarwal, Chairman and Managing Director of Ola Electric. "With Hyperservice scale-up, we are opening this capability to everyone."
The initiative represents a departure from traditional automotive service models that typically require customers to use authorized dealer networks. By opening its proprietary service infrastructure, Ola Electric aims to create what it calls "service freedom" for its customer base.
The company expects the move to strengthen its unit economics by expanding its parts and accessories business, which operates on higher profit margins. The direct-to-consumer model is anticipated to drive increased volume through Ola's supply chain while creating opportunities for independent mechanics to develop EV servicing capabilities.
Ola Electric positions Hyperservice as part of its broader "India Inside" strategy, which focuses on building integrated domestic platforms across batteries, software, and after-sales infrastructure. The company operates the Ola Futurefactory in Tamil Nadu and maintains over 4,000 retail stores across India, representing what it claims is the country's largest company-owned automotive retail network.
