The company said the new variant is aimed at increasing access to longer-range electric scooters in the mid-price segment.
Ola Electric has launched the S1 X+ electric scooter with a 5.2 kWh battery pack, priced at an introductory ₹1,29,999 until April 15, 2026, the company said on Monday.
The model is powered by the company’s in-house developed 4680 Bharat Cell, marking the wider rollout of its cell technology to mass-market products. The launch is part of Ola Electric’s strategy to expand the use of its vertically integrated battery and vehicle platform.
An Ola Electric Spokesperson said, “Vertical integration enables the
ability to innovate deeply, scale quickly, and bring our best technology to more and more customers, faster. S1 X+ 5.2 kWh is where performance, range and scale come together."
The S1 X+ 5.2 kWh is equipped with an 11 kW mid-drive motor and an integrated motor control unit. It offers a claimed range of 320 km (IDC) and a top speed of 125 km/h. The scooter also features brake-by-wire technology and a front disc brake system.
The company said the new variant is aimed at increasing access to longer-range electric scooters in the mid-price segment.
Ola Electric’s current portfolio includes Gen 3 S1 scooters across multiple battery configurations, including the S1 Pro+ and S1 Pro, as well as mass-market S1 X models. It also sells electric motorcycles under the Roadster X range with battery options ranging from 2.5 kWh to 9.1 kWh.
Ola Electric manufactures its vehicles and components at its facility in Tamil Nadu and operates a battery innovation centre in Bengaluru focused on cell development.
