Ola Electric Cuts Roadster X+ 9.1 kWh Price by ₹60,000 as 4680 Bharat Cell Production Scales
Cost efficiencies at its Gigafactory allow the company to reduce the flagship motorcycle's price to ₹1,29,999, available in limited purchase windows.
Ola Electric on Wednesday reduced the price of its 4680 Bharat Cell-powered Roadster X+ 9.1 kWh electric motorcycle by ₹60,000 — from ₹1,89,999 to ₹1,29,999 — citing economies of scale at its Gigafactory in Tamil Nadu, effective April 3, 2026, available to customers in India through limited-time purchase windows.
The company will move from open sales to a time-bound slot model for the Roadster X+ 9.1 kWh, which it describes as its highest-performance electric motorcycle with a range of up to 500 km. The first purchase window opens on April 3 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with subsequent windows to be announced based on production availability.
Commenting on the announcement, an Ola Electric spokesperson said, "As production of our 4680 Bharat Cell scales, we are able to unlock significant cost efficiencies and pass them on directly to customers. The response to the Roadster has been extremely strong - the bike demand during our #EndICEAge campaign has grown more than 5X, and this new pricing makes long range electric mobility even more accessible."
The 4680 Bharat Cell is designed and manufactured entirely in India. Ola Electric said it is expanding Gigafactory capacity toward 6 GWh through vertical integration, which it expects to bring costs down further.
The price cut follows a recovery in Ola Electric's sales in March, when the company recorded 10,117 registrations — a growth of over 150% month-on-month — and daily orders crossed 1,000 units in the final week of the month.
