Odysse Electric delivers 1,500 electric scooters to Zypp Electric for sustainable mobility
Marking a significant milestone in sustainable transportation, Odysse Electric begins fulfilling its 40,000 EV order for Zypp Electric, supporting eco-friendly last-mile delivery with advanced electric scooters across India over the next three years.
Odysse Electric, a two-wheeler electric vehicle (EV) brand in India, has delivered over 1,500 electric scooters to Zypp Electric, a fleet operator focused on last-mile delivery services. This delivery marks a step toward advancing sustainable transportation solutions in the country.
This delivery is part of a larger order of 40,000 electric vehicles that Odysse Electric is set to deliver over the next three years, as announced last month. The delivery of these 1,500 scooters strengthens the collaboration between the two companies in reducing the carbon footprint of urban transportation and promoting sustainable mobility.
Commenting on the development, Nemin Vora, CEO of Odysse Electric, said, "Each scooter delivered brings us closer to mainstreaming sustainable mobility. This collaboration with Zypp Electric highlights the growing demand for eco-friendly transportation solutions in India. The delivery of over 1,500 scooters is an important milestone, and we look forward to continuing our support for Zypp Electric’s mission of providing sustainable last-mile delivery solutions."
Established in 2020, Odysse Electric offers a wide range of electric vehicles. The company’s lineup includes the electric motorcycle Vader, which features a 7-inch touchscreen Android display, an AIS-156 approved battery, five driving modes, and an 18-liter storage capacity. Another model, the EVOQIS electric bike, is equipped with four driving modes, keyless entry, anti-theft features, and a motor cut-off switch.
The high-speed electric scooter SNAP comes with an AIS-156 approved portable battery, a waterproof motor, and a display that shows the distance-to-empty and CAN-enabled features. The HAWK Li, another high-speed scooter, is marketed as India’s first to feature cruise control and a music system, along with a portable battery.
For low-speed options, the E2Go series includes models like the Lite, E2Go+, and E2GO Graphene, all offering portable batteries, USB charging, and keyless entry. The Racer Lite V2 and V2+ scooters are designed with dual batteries, LED lights, and significant boot space. Additionally, the Trot 2.0 is a low-speed loader scooter for logistics, featuring an IP65-rated battery, breakdown assistance, and a digital speedometer.
