Oben Electric Launches Rorr EZ Sigma Motorcycle on Flipkart Platform

The Bengaluru-based company is offering the Rorr EZ Sigma at a starting price of ₹1.29 lakh, which includes a ₹17,000 discount. The Rorr EZ model is priced from ₹1.19 lakh with a ₹20,000 offer included.

The partnership represents Oben Electric's expansion into digital retail channels as the company seeks to reach customers across India's growing electric vehicle market. The motorcycles will be available through Flipkart's delivery network in addition to the company's existing physical showroom presence.

The Rorr EZ Sigma features battery options of 3.4 kWh and 4.4 kWh, offering a range of up to 175 kilometers on a single charge according to Indian Driving Cycle standards. The motorcycle can accelerate from 0-40 km/h in 3.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 95 km/h. It includes three riding modes and incorporates the company's lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery technology.

Additional features include a reverse mode, 5-inch color display with navigation, and what the company describes as an ergonomically redesigned seat. The model is available in a new "Electric Red" color option.

Oben Electric currently operates over 50 showrooms across Indian cities including Bengaluru, Delhi, Pune, Jaipur, and Hyderabad. The company plans to expand to 150 showrooms in more than 100 cities by the end of the current financial year.

Founded in August 2020, Oben Electric operates a manufacturing facility in Bengaluru with stated annual production capacity of 100,000 units. The company holds more than 25 patents for its technology and components, according to its corporate information.

The electric motorcycle segment in India has seen increased activity as manufacturers compete in the country's large two-wheeler market, with various companies introducing models targeting urban commuters seeking alternatives to traditional fuel-powered vehicles.
