Bengaluru-based electric vehicle manufacturer, Oben Electric, launched electric motorcycle Rorr EZ, at an introductory price of ₹89,999. The new vehicle, which targets the urban commuter market, is available in three battery configurations – 2.6 kWh, 3.4 kWh, and 4.4 kWh.

Rorr EZ aims to make city transportation easier with its accessible design, advanced technology, and competitive pricing. The Rorr EZ has been crafted to provide a seamless and efficient commuting experience.

Customers can reserve the Rorr EZ immediately with a booking fee of ₹2,999, and enjoy test rides and quick deliveries at Oben Electric stores. The company said with the new launch, electric mobility will become an achievable option for the average commuter.

Design and Performance

The Rorr EZ eliminates traditional motorcycle challenges such as clutch handling, vibrations, and high maintenance costs. Built with Oben’s proprietary ARX framework and a neo-classic aesthetic, the Rorr EZ is engineered for stability and ease in traffic, featuring an LED display that aids in visibility and provides essential rider diagnostics.

The motorcycle is powered by Oben's high-performance LFP battery technology, known for its durability and reliability, particularly in India’s diverse climates. This technology offers 50% greater temperature resistance and twice the lifespan of typical batteries, setting a new standard in safety and longevity for electric two-wheelers.

The Rorr EZ reaches a top speed of 95 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 40 km/h in 3.3 seconds. With atorque of 52 Nm, the bike delivers quick acceleration and maintains a smooth ride, making it ideal for city travel. On full charge, the Rorr EZ has a range of up to 175 km (IDC) and can be fast-charged to 80% in 45 minutes, allowing riders to keep up with demanding schedules.

The Rorr EZ offers three driving modes – Eco, City, and Havoc – allowing riders to tailor the ride for optimal battery life or peak performance. Enhanced safety features such as UBA, Geo-Fencing, Theft Protection, and DAS have been integrated to ensure a secure ride. It is available in four distinctive colours – Electro Amber, Surge Cyan, Lumina Green, and Photon White.

Madhumita Agrawal, Founder and CEO of Oben Electric said, “In a market where motorcycles outsell scooters two-to-one, the launch of the Rorr EZ marks a bold step toward democratising electric mobility in India and turning the electric dream into a reality for all.” She added the motorcycle is an example of the company’s commitment to the ‘Make in India’ mission.

Oben Electric has introduced flexible EMI options, allowing riders to own the Rorr EZ for ₹2,200 per month. A comprehensive after-sales service, Oben Care, supports all customers, with warranty packages offering up to 5 years or 75,000 km of coverage, ensuring a hassle-free ownership experience.

The company has also announced plans to expand its retail footprint by opening 60 new showrooms across major Indian cities in the coming months.
