NueGo has expanded its electric intercity bus network across India with the launch of multiple new routes, including its longest service connecting Delhi to Lucknow in approximately 10 hours. The Mumbai-based company announced the expansion on Monday as part of its strategy to meet growing demand for electric intercity transportation.

NueGo has expanded its electric intercity bus network across India with the launch of multiple new routes, including its longest service connecting Delhi to Lucknow in approximately 10 hours. The Mumbai-based company announced the expansion on Monday as part of its strategy to meet growing demand for electric intercity transportation.
The new routes include connections between Amritsar and Delhi, Bengaluru to Davanagere and Madurai, Chennai to Madurai and Salem, Delhi to Bareilly and Haldwani, and Guntur to Visakhapatnam. Additional services now operate between Gurugram and Haldwani, Jaipur and Kota, Delhi and Hisar, Amritsar and Jammu, Indore and Ratlam, Hyderabad and Kurnool, and Bangalore and Mysore.
NueGo operates under GreenCell Mobility, which is backed by Eversource Capital. The company currently runs more than 300 electric buses connecting over 100 cities across India. The buses can travel over 250 kilometers per charge and feature a range of up to 500 kilometers with fast-charging technology.
The expansion comes as India seeks to reduce transportation emissions through electric vehicle adoption. NueGo positions itself as the country's first electric sleeper bus service provider and equips its fleet with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems across all vehicles.
"We are constantly working to create a network that is as sustainable as it is comfortable," said Devndra Chawla, Managing Director and CEO of GreenCell Mobility. "This is not just about expansion—it's about leading a nationwide movement for zero-emission intercity transport."
The company has established over 50 charging stations nationwide to support operations. NueGo buses undergo 25 safety checks covering mechanical and electrical systems, and the fleet includes features such as CCTV surveillance, GPS tracking, and speed limits of 80 kilometers per hour.
NueGo has introduced specific measures for women passengers, including a 24-hour helpline, designated seating options during booking, and enhanced security protocols at stations and on buses.
GreenCell Mobility operates as an Electric Mobility-as-a-Service platform, focusing on electric bus transportation, charging infrastructure, and related services. Parent company Eversource Capital describes itself as a climate impact investor with a fund focused on electric mobility, renewable energy, and resource efficiency projects.
The expansion reflects broader growth in India's electric vehicle sector, where government policies and environmental concerns drive adoption of electric alternatives to conventional transportation. NueGo's network growth indicates commercial viability for long-distance electric bus services in the Indian market.
