Norton Motorcycles has revealed its new 450 urban at EICMA 2026 in Milan, expanding into the sub-500cc motorcycle segment.
The new motorcycle is built around a liquid-cooled 454 cc single-cylinder engine that delivers a claimed peak power of 47 PS and 45 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed gearbox.
Developed on a lightweight platform featuring a class-exclusive aluminium frame, the bike has a kerb weight of under 180 kg, along with a 12-litre fuel tank.
Underpinnings include a 43 mm KYB upside-down front fork, a KYB rear monoshock adjustable for rebound and pre-load, and a ByBre braking system featuring a 320 mm front disc and 240 mm rear disc equipped with cornering ABS.
The 450 urban will be offered in two visual variants, including a standard road-focused trim with 17-inch silver cast wheels and a silver frame, alongside a more rugged variant equipped with black cast wheels, a grey frame, extended mudguards, handguards, fork protectors, a flyscreen, and distinct seat trim.
The motorcycle features an electronic technology package comprising a 8-inch TFT touchscreen, keyless ignition, smartphone connectivity, traction control, cruise control, three riding modes, dynamic LED lighting, an integrated USB-C port, and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
Alongside the 450 urban, Norton showcased its production-ready portfolio at EICMA, including the Manx R flagship sports bike, the naked Manx, and the 585 cc parallel-twin powered Atlas and Atlas GT adventure-touring models.
Simon Skinner, Head of Design at Norton Motorcycles, said, "The opportunity we saw with the new Norton 450 urban was to take everything we believe makes a Norton special – our heritage, our design philosophy, our craftsmanship and our obsession with detail – and bring it to a completely new segment and community of riders."
