NIT Calicut, Tata Elxsi sign MoU for EV innovation with Rs 1 crore funding commitment

NIT Calicut and Tata Elxsi have signed an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) to establish a research laboratory dedicated to advancing High Power Inverters and drives, in addition to battery technology devices. 

With a funding commitment of Rs 1 crore, including Tata Elxsi's contribution of 75 lakh and NIT Calicut's commitment of 25 lakh, the lab is poised to be a catalyst for pioneering research in the EV domain.

The occasion was attended by Manoj Raghavan, the CEO and Managing Director of Tata Elxsi; Dr. Priya Chandran, Director-in-charge, NITC, Shaju S, Vice President and Head of Transportation Business Unit, TATA ELXSI; Commander (Dr.) Shamsundara M S, Registrar of National Institute of Technology, Calicut, among others. 

Manoj Raghavan, the CEO and Managing Director of Tata Elxsi emphasised the company's commitment to technological progress and societal development, stating that this partnerhsip was a step in that direction.
