Nissan Motor India said it is voluntarily recalling Magnite products produced between November 2020 and December 2023, to retrofit front door handle sensors, PTI reported.

It did not share the number of affected units.

The proactive and mandatory preventive action affects the base XE and mid XL variants only, with no impact to safety of the customers, the automaker said.

The company further added that all Nissan Magnite units manufactured after December 2023 remain unaffected.

The automaker further said that it will begin notifying owners of affected vehicles and assured them that they can continue using their vehicles without interruption.
