Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. (NMIPL) has expanded its network to 273 touchpoints across India, adding three new customer touchpoints in Bengaluru. These additions include two showrooms and a service workshop, operated by Jubilant Nissan. The expansion extends Jubilant MotorWorks' partnership with Nissan from Delhi NCR to Bengaluru.

Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director of Nissan Motor India, inaugurated the new facilities. During the launch event at the Nagarbhavi showroom, Nissan delivered its first 'Made in Japan' 4th Generation X-TRAIL to a customer in India. This delivery aligns with Nissan's previously announced plan to begin X-TRAIL deliveries in August.

With these new additions, Nissan now has 18 customer touchpoints in Karnataka, comprising 10 sales and 8 service locations. The company plans to further expand its presence in the state with two additional touchpoints in Mangalore.

Vatsa stated that the Southern region is a significant market for Nissan in India, with Karnataka being a key area. He mentioned that the company aims to reach 300 touchpoints by the end of the fiscal year.

The new Jubilant Nissan showrooms cover a combined area of 6,600 sq. ft., while the service workshop spans 13,600 sq. ft. These facilities are equipped with modern amenities and staffed by trained professionals.

Nissan has recently introduced several new products in India, including the 4th Generation X-TRAIL as a CBU (Completely Built Unit). The company has also launched the Nissan Magnite EZ-Shift and the Magnite KURO Special Edition to expand its product lineup.

Nissan Motor India employs a 'phygital' distribution approach, combining physical and digital elements to provide customers with various options for their automotive needs.

The 4th Generation Nissan X-TRAIL has been introduced to the Indian market as a Completely Built Unit (CBU). This SUV incorporates a Variable Compression engine, which aims to balance power output and fuel efficiency. The vehicle is fitted with a 3rd generation XTRONIC CVT transmission that includes D-Step Logic Control and Paddle Shifters.

The X-TRAIL features a 12V ALiS (Advanced Lithium-ion Battery System) mild hybrid technology. This system is designed to improve fuel economy and reduce emissions. Its functions include torque assistance, extended idle stop, and rapid restart capabilities.
