Nissan Motor India has expanded its CNG retrofitment program to include the New Nissan Magnite BR10 EZ-Shift (AMT), following strong customer uptake of the retrofit option for the manual transmission variant launched earlier this year. The company has also introduced an integrated fuel-filling system across all newly retrofitted Magnite models.

The government-approved retrofitment allows Magnite EZ-Shift owners to opt for a CNG kit backed by a three-year or 1 lakh km warranty. The filling valve, previously housed in the engine compartment, is now integrated into the standard fuel lid, aiming to make refuelling quicker and more accessible.

The CNG kit is priced at ₹71,999, reflecting the GST reduction from 28% to 18%. Nissan has retained the price despite the redesign and system upgrade. The retrofitment is available through authorised centres across 13 states: Delhi-NCR, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Kerala, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Tamil Nadu.

Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director of Nissan Motor India, said the expansion was aligned with customer demand and focused on accessibility and operational efficiency. The retrofitment kit, developed by Motozen Fuel Systems, meets regulatory requirements and is available exclusively for Magnite models equipped with the 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine in both MT and AMT variants.

The Magnite offers six airbags as standard and holds a 5-star Global NCAP rating for adult occupant protection and a 3-star rating for child safety. Nissan has also introduced a 10-year extended warranty option for the model.

In addition to the retrofitment expansion, the company recently launched the Magnite KURO Special Edition and added a new Metallic Grey colour in select variants. The Magnite is currently sold in more than 65 countries across both right-hand and left-hand drive markets.
