Nippon Paint India Names Jenender Anand as Vice President for Automotive Refinish

Nippon Paint India has appointed Jenender Anand as Vice President of its Automotive Refinish Business, the company announced today. Anand will oversee the automotive refinish portfolio for India, including operations in Nepal and the IndoKote business division.

The appointment is part of Nippon Paint India's broader organizational restructuring under its India-focused growth strategy and unified operating model introduced earlier this year. Anand will report directly to Sharad Malhotra, Managing Director of Nippon Paint (India) Group.

"Jenender's appointment strengthens our leadership depth at a critical phase of our India journey," Malhotra said in a statement. He highlighted Anand's experience across automotive and industrial sectors and his capability in building integrated teams as key factors in the appointment.

Anand brings over 32 years of experience in marketing, business development, operations, and stakeholder management across Asia-Pacific and global markets. His background includes extensive work with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, and two-wheelers across both B2B and B2C segments.

"I view this as a strong platform to drive meaningful impact by leveraging my experience in OEM engagement and strategic market expansion," Anand said. He expressed confidence in unlocking value through operational excellence and customer alignment while contributing to sustainable revenue growth.

Before joining Nippon Paint India, Anand served as President of the Automotive and Power Cable Vertical at Svarn Group. His career includes senior leadership roles at Exxon Mobil Lubricants India, Goodyear India Ltd., MRF Tyres, Shriram Pistons & Rings, and Revolt Motors.

The leadership change aligns with the company's strategy of building a manufacturing-focused, India-first organization. Nippon Paint India is part of the NIPSEA Group, which operates as Asia Pacific's largest paint and coatings manufacturer by production and sales revenue.

NIPSEA Group, headquartered in Singapore, operates 148 companies across 28 locations with over 31,000 employees and 118 manufacturing facilities. The group provides solutions across architectural, industrial, automotive, marine coatings, and construction sectors.
