New Volkswagen T-Roc SUV to be Revealed at Munich Motor Show
Second-gen T-Roc SUV is likely to get ICE, Hybrid and BEV powertrain options
The new Volkswagen T-Roc SUV will be shown for the first time at the upcoming Munich Motor show that starts on September 9, 2025. The second-gen T-Roc has been partially shown by Volkswagen in a teaser that shows the sides of the car, covered in black wrap and yellow text.
From the teaser and the leaked images that surfaced a few months ago, one can confirm that the new T-Roc gets the same design theme as its predecessor, replete with a sharply raked roofline and a sporty character.
Just like the outgoing model, the new T-Roc plays an important role in Volkswagen's global SUV line-up. Last year, it was the second-bestselling Volkswagen model globally. The first-gen T-Roc was also sold in India from 2021 in limited numbers as a full import.
The new T-Roc that will be shown next month in Munch, is expected to be sold in various powertrain options depending on market. Expect multiple engine options on the T-Roc petrol with some getting mild hybrid tech.
There are talks of the SUV getting petrol strong hybrid versions too and finally there’s also a T-Roc BEV (fully electric) variant expected at some point.
The second-gen VW T-Roc will continue to be positioned between the T-Cross and the Tiguan SUVs overseas, it takes on the likes of the popular Toyota C-HR and the Hyundai Kona SUVs among others.
Expect more details on the new T-Roc to be revealed closer to its world premiere at Munich motor show that starts on September 9, 2025.
