New Land Rover Discovery Sport priced at Rs 67.9 lakh
The updated model gets a new Pivi Pro 11.4-inch infotainment touchscreen along with feature updates.
Land Rover India has announced prices for the 2024 Discovery Sport – the updated seven-seater is priced at Rs 67.9 lakh, ex-showroom, India. The Discovery Sport continues to be available in a single higher-spec trim, Dynamic SE, and gets two engine options – a 249hp, 2.0-litre turbo-petrol unit and a 204hp, 2.0-litre diesel, which are both priced the same. The seven-seat luxury SUV costs about Rs 5 lakh less than the outgoing model.
2024 Land Rover Discovery Sport interior: what’s new
Most of the changes seen on the updated Discovery Sport are to the features list. The most obvious difference is the new (and larger) Pivi Pro 11.4-inch infotainment touchscreen that is mounted centrally on the dash and gets updates to its OS. Wireless Apple CarPlay has also been added to the list of features, along with two USB-C chargers in each row, a 12V socket in the second row and boot, and climate control for the third row.
The interior continues to feature a digital driver display, 360-degree cameras including a dedicated rear view mirror display, steering-mounted paddleshifters, reclining and sliding rear seats with a 40:20:40 split-folding function, and a panoramic sunroof. Land Rover offers two colour options for the insides, Duo Leather upholstery, and a natural shadow oak trim finish around the gear knob.
2024 Land Rover Discovery Sport exterior: what’s new
The Discovery Sport badge now comes with a gloss black finish, as does the grille, lower body sills, and lower bumpers. The front bumper also gets a claw-like detailing in gloss black. The British luxury brand has added a new Varesine Blue exterior finish to the Discovery Sport’s portfolio, and there are new 19-inch alloy wheels on offer too.
2024 Land Rover Discovery Sport price: rivals
Compared to competitors in this luxury SUV space, such as the BMW X3 (Rs 68.5 lakh-72.5 lakh), Audi Q5 (Rs 65.18 lakh-70.45 lakh), Volvo XC60 (Rs 68.9 lakh) and the Mercedes-Benz GLC (Rs 74.2 lakh-75.2 lakh), the updated Discovery Sport undercuts all its rivals other than the entry-level Audi.
