Ahead of its market launch on November 4, 2025, Hyundai India has begun series production of the second-gen Venue at its new Talegaon plant in Maharashtra. The new Venue is the first Hyundai model to be manufactured in this plant which has begun operations with an annual capacity of 170,000 units.

Hyundai Motor India at its first investor day has announced that production capacity at this plant will be increased to 250,000 units in the near future. Hyundai’s Talegaon plant—acquired from General Motors—has been modernised to support production of future models across multiple powertrain options.

The new Hyundai Venue gets grounds up new styling inside out with design cues that will resemble present day Hyundai models like the latest-gen Creta, the Exter and the Ioniq 9.  On the inside, it will come with a long feature list and safety tech including a sunroof, 10.25 inch curved dual infotainment screens, Level 2 ADAS and OTA updates among others.  Hyundai has also said that the new Venue will have a “Stronger” body structure, which could mean that the brand is aiming for highest BNCAP crash test score for the new Venue.  The new Venue is expected to be sold in standard variants initially. The sportier Venue N Line range is expected to go on sale a little later.

Mechanically, the next-gen Venue is likely to retain the current model’s three engine options: a 120hp 1.0-litre turbo-petrol, an 83hp 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol and a 100hp 1.5-litre diesel. The base NA petrol engine is only available with a 5-speed MT, while the turbo-petrol comes with either a 6-speed MT or a 7-speed DCT; the diesel only gets a 6-speed MT.

The Venue has consistently been a strong seller for the brand, averaging about 7,000-8,000 units a month despite sitting in one of the most crowded and competitive segments. The new Venue will continue to rival the likes of the Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza, Kia Sonet and Mahindra XUV 3XO.
