Neuron Energy Launches Gen 2 Lithium-Ion Battery Packs for Commercial Electric Vehicles

Neuron Energy announced the launch of its Gen 2 lithium-ion battery packs designed for electric two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and light commercial vehicles. The new battery series will be available across India starting July 2025.

The company projects revenue of over INR 250 crore from the new product line, targeting electric vehicle manufacturers, fleet operators, logistics companies, battery distributors, and government buyers. The Gen 2 series represents the company's second-generation battery technology following its initial product offerings.

Pratik Kamdar, Co-founder and CEO of Neuron Energy, said the new batteries aim to provide cost efficiency and performance improvements for India's electric vehicle market. The company has positioned the product as a response to growing demand in the commercial EV segment.

The Gen 2 battery packs feature architecture designed for Indian road conditions, with improved heat dissipation capabilities and compatibility across vehicle models. The batteries include reinforced structural components intended to extend operational life and a battery management system designed to reduce maintenance requirements.

The new products incorporate vibration protection technology aimed at handling terrain conditions common in India. The company states that smart battery management systems and cell balancing technology are intended to increase battery longevity and maintain consistent performance over time.

Neuron Energy operates in India's electric vehicle battery manufacturing sector, which has seen growth alongside the country's push toward electric mobility adoption. The company produces lithium-ion batteries and energy storage solutions for various electric vehicle categories, including two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and light commercial vehicles.

The battery manufacturer competes in a market that includes both domestic and international players as India's electric vehicle adoption continues to expand. Government initiatives promoting electric mobility and commercial fleet electrification have contributed to increased demand for battery solutions in the commercial vehicle segment.

The Gen 2 launch comes as India's electric vehicle market experiences growth in commercial applications, with logistics companies and fleet operators increasingly adopting electric vehicles for last-mile delivery and urban transportation services.
